He took the time to explain what happens when you take care of it well and he is making it clear that it is not your fault, and that you should not take it on yourself. I’ve been to several seminars that cover mindfulness and I’ve noticed that when these seminars are presented, their attendees are often the first to tell you to “go easy on yourself.
There are so many people that just get up at 7am or so and sleep for hours. When you wake, your mind is just as quick to think about what’s going on with you as you are.
I’ve taken classes on mindfulness at a few seminars and I’ve noticed that people that present these courses try to make it sound like you need to learn to push through your day. The problem is, if you’re doing everything you can to stop yourself, or you’re going to feel like you’re not doing enough, then you’re not really doing anything.
